Self Empowerment

M.A.D -  MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Like many others I also get mad because of filth and seem to be helpless in doing some thing.

Its right from the top to the bottom and its worse amongst the service providers funded by the government who have all possible perks and security. The only thing that is not there is accountability.

We have the best constitution, fantastic laws and best possible systems but all this is only on paper. We appear to be debating via the media, parliament and all other foras and quite happy about it. These are highly moralistic debates and one feels if the leaders are so good why the heck are we not delivering?

We have people looting the nation with misdeeds out in the media, some are put in jail temporarily but as soon a better scandal is out and public memory fades, they are free and its business as usual.Thereafter, even the investigative agency proceed depending on political expediency.

I am mad at it and so many of us are mad about it. Are we doomed to be helpless witnesses to open loot of our resources and even pay for the loot in terms of all taxes and hikes? Or is there anything we can do collectively ?

Its not that there are not enough great Indians in the present context, unfortunately we have left it to the others and sense of complacency or despondency has developed. Both are disastrous for the nation- the leadership becomes arrogant and non accountable, we seem to be reaching that state in our country.

The issue then is are we to let our nation go to dogs or do something about it. If you get mad like me , let us put our heads together to fight this filth through empowerment of ourselves but how?

What is it that you feel is the next best thing to be done in the present scenario in our available resources in terms of time and money? The forum is open for discussion to all of you and try and make a difference to the society and try and make a change on our own...

It is sad that we are being mute spectators watching the nation fall apart with the politicians tearing the resources apart like vultures over dead bodies...

Just by watching the news or doing tut tut everytime some new scandal surfaces does not make any difference to the already sad situation in the country...

I feel the youth and everyone else should strive towards making a change...vote for a new person who they feel will work for them and not just offer freebies to vote for them...not believe every single thing being said by the politicians blindly and asking questions as to where the resources meant for the welfare being pocketed by the people sitting in the chair...

This is a true Lord Macaulay's speech in the British Parliament on 2nd February 1835. "I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such calibre, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native self-culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation." May be answer lies in this speech

achingroThe biggest curse of the country is BLACK MONEY. It is generated by under invoicing at every level in manufacturing and at the retail level by selling goods on kucha bills. In this way taxes are not paid at the the manufacturing and the retail level. This black money is used for non productive expenditure and funding of elections and we land up with the politicians we get because the good candidates can not spend as much as the criminal/political combine can .We as ordinary citizens can make our small contribution in trying reduce the menace of black money by insisting on a pucca bill for everything we buy even grocery purchases can be made from the larger stores rather than the mom and pop stores that do not give a receipt.
